Crabbie’s Grand National Opening Day 2015

It was a beautiful sunny start to The 2015 Crabbie’s Grand National this morning where we saw an impressive turnout to watch the Opening Day Races.

The Opening Day race results were as follows:

The One Magnificent City Manifesto Novices’ Steeple Chase: CLARCAM

The Betfred Anniversary 4-Y-O Juvenile Hurdle Race: ALL YOURS

The Betfred Bowl Steeple Chase: SILVINIACO CONTI

The Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle: JEZKI

The Crabbie’s Fox Hunters’ Steeple Chase: ON THE FRINGE

The Betfred Red Rum Handicap Steeple Chase: SURF AND TURF

The Injured Jockeys Fund Handicap Hurdle Race: TAGLIETELLE

As well as the first class racing there were a host of other treats in store for visitors of The Crabbie’s Grand National Opening Day…
The first highlight of the day began with a demonstration by some festival favourites with Aintree’s Parade of retrained Racehorses, and style partners Liverpool One entertained in the Red Rum Garden with their house band “Soul Sinners’ along side the famous Crabbie’s bus where crowds enjoyed Crabbie’s in the sunshine.

A brilliant day was finished off by Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox who entertained the crowds 80 classics to end the Opening Day in style.

A great start to a Festival that is sure to be filled with 1st class racing, passion and spirit! We look forward to welcoming everyone attending the infamous Ladies Day tomorrow.
