Crabbie’s spices up World Curry Festival

Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer has announced their sponsorship of this year’s World Curry Festival in Bradford. Over the weekend of the 12th – 13th September, thousands of curry-loving festival goers will descend on Bradford’s Lister Park to celebrate all things curry.

To celebrate the return of the festival for the sixth year, Crabbie’s have teamed up with Prashad, the restaurant, serving authentic Gujarati cuisine, to develop an exciting curry featuring Crabbie’s Green Ginger Wine.

The curry, ‘Crabbie’s Sabzi & Paneer Makni’ is a creamy and tangy paneer curry and a Minal’s variation on traditional paneer makni. The recipe will be featured in Prashad At Home, the award winning restaurant’s second cookery book, which can be picked up at the festival for £25. Prashad will be signing the cook books and offering free cooking demonstrations on Sunday.

Crabbie’s will also be launching a competition for curry-lovers to win a trip to Glasgow to enjoy a Cooking, Comedy and Curry night. One lucky pair will win the chance of learning how to make the perfect curry from top chefs, enjoying the meal with a few cold Crabbie’s, before heading to a top comedy club!

The Crabbie’s bus will be sampling products from the range across the festival including, Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer, John Crabbie’s, Crabbie’s Green Ginger Wine and Crabbie’s Light.

Claire Kelly, Marketing Controller of Crabbie’s, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the World Curry Festival. The unique blend of real spiced ginger and exotic spices found in Crabbie’s compliments a whole host of curries. We look forward to seeing the festival goers enjoying our Crabbie’s range with some fine curry!”
