Gammon Steak

Serves: Four



  • Four Thick Gammon Steaks
  • 1 kg of chipper potatoes
  • One pineapple
  • Four eggs
  • 500g peas



  • Heat oven to 180C
  • Peel the chipper potatoes, cut into chips and blanch in the fryer at 140C for 10 minutes; take out and turn the fryer up to 180C
  • Peel the pineapple then cut into thick slices. Put the slices on the grill. Cook both sides and put onto baking tray  
  • In a hot pan sear each side of the gammon steak, then put onto baking tray with pineapple and cook for nine minutes
  • In the last five minutes of the gammon steak cooking, place the chips back in the fryer
  • In a sauce pot, heat up the peas
  • In a frying pan, cook four eggs
  • Place the gammon steak on a plate, put the egg and pineapple on top and the chips and serve peas on the side
